Here are a few things which I enjoyed or influenced me or helped me the most in 2020. I hope you may find these helpful.

Books

These are the books I liked the most and the one’s I will do a re read for sure.

  1. Tribe of mentors by Tim Ferris

3. Asura:Tale of the Vanquished: The Story of Ravana and His People by Anand Neelakantan

4. The Omnivore’s Dilemma: A Natural History of Four Meals by Michael Pollan

  1. Tim Ferris — This year to a lot of good advice and wisdom from Tim’s podcast & books
  2. Ken D. Berry MD — After following him on youtube I even tried carnivore diet once. Overall there is a huge change in my diet pattern.
  3. Michael Pollan — greatly influenced my food beliefs

Craziest things I have done

  1. Trying carnivore diet for few days
  2. coding overnight
  3. Bringing down my FB friends count from 1100 to 280

Podcasts

  1. Tim Ferris show
  2. The drive — Peter Attia
  3. Ted Radio hour

Habits

  1. Spend few hours every day for learning.
  2. Cycling/ walking while listening to books
  3. Minimum 7hrs of sleep every day

Places I visited

Travel options were limited due to Corona situation, however these places were worth visiting.

3. Misty valley near Bagaluru

Tools and Services

  1. Audible Subscription — Probably the most used app and the only reason behind experiencing so many books.
  2. Google music — the best music collection at an affordable rate
  3. Google sheets — I continue to use it a lot for tracking personal stuff

I am grateful for

  1. Not getting infected by Corona.
  2. Support of my family, friends & neighbours in tough times.
  3. Spending 360 hrs less on road.
  4. Overall improvement in health.
  5. Better less polluted India.
  6. Getting a chance to complete two cloud certification & all other learning opportunities.
  7. Getting an opportunity to help few people in need.
  8. Getting a chance to spend two months in my native place, for the first time in last 18 years.
  9. work from home option.
  10. Getting a chance to spend more time with family

Best buy

  1. Samsung Galaxy s10 — The camera & display are worth the price. You will love it except for few bloat-wares from Samsung.

2. Kick scooter for kids — kids love it

3. ACT connection — reliable, trouble free net
